Football turf size should be in accordance with the Laws of the Game. The field of play must be rectangular. The length of the touchline must be greater than the length of the goal line. FIFA recommendations for an 11-a-side football turf size in professional football are 100-130 yards (90-120m) long and 50-100 yards (45-90m) wide. The penalty area should measure 18 yards (16.45m) away from the centre of the goal line, while the penalty spot should be 12 yards (10.9m) from goal, regardless of the overall pitch size
