In a significant move to bolster the nation's sports infrastructure, the Indian government has approved 323 new projects totaling ₹3,073.97 crore under the Khelo India Scheme. This initiative aims to enhance sports facilities across the country, providing athletes with world-class amenities to train and compete. 

The Khelo India Scheme, a flagship program of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, focuses on the development of sports infrastructure, talent identification, and the promotion of a sports culture at the grassroots level. The newly approved projects encompass a wide range of facilities, including multipurpose halls, stadiums, and training centers, strategically located to ensure nationwide accessibility. 

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the government's commitment to nurturing sporting talent and creating an environment conducive to athletic excellence. He stated that these projects are expected to play a pivotal role in India's journey towards becoming a global sporting powerhouse.
